DBS have successfully supported and delivered a former brownfield site through the planning system for a change of use from industrial to commercial for a new superstore development. The site is located at Low Stanners in Morpeth Town Centre, Northumberland, and is being developed for a new retail superstore with associated car parking and infrastructure. All planning conditions on contaminated land have now been discharged by Northumberland County Council.
DBS worked with Tolent Construction who were the principal contractor on the scheme, and Thompsons of Prudhoe were the remediation contractor. The overall client was Dransfield Properties Limited and the CDM-C was Kinsler and Partners LLP.
